At the end, it is possible to descend to Bolzano with the Renon cable car, or by following the same route on foot until returning to the starting point. A fantastic circular hike in and around Bolzano | Bozen, the capital of South Tyrol. The path begins in the heart of the old town on the Waltherplatz | Piazza Walther and leads through historic alleys to the Talferwiesen | Lungo Talvera. Past the romantic Maretsch Castle | Castel Mareccio to St. Anton | S. Antonio and through beautiful vineyards to the Oswald Promenade | Passeggiata Sant'Osvaldo. This leads to St. Magdalena | S. Maddalena and then back to the historic old town.

Then return to the path that runs along the Adige river, passing Laives | Leifers up to Bolzano. The route leads almost entirely on a cycle path.
