This trail runs over the Dwingelderveld, around the Davidsplassen lakes. It is an excellent walk for bird watchers, many birds like to nest in the puddles. You pass heathlands, raised moors, along shifting sands and through forests. There is a bird hide at the Davidplassen. You will also pass the impressive radio telescope of Dwingeloo. At 5 kilometers you will pass a tea house, otherwise there is no catering on the way. You will pass several picnic spots.

This Knapsack Route leads you through nature between the villages of Lhee and Lheebroekerzand. A beautiful nature walk through Dwingelderveld National Park, where you visit various highlights. You walk past the radio telescope, burial mounds, sheepfold and countless fens. In the sheepfold you can stop for a cup of coffee and in Lheebroek is a restaurant on the route.

This is the shortened Knapsack route from Lhee. The entire trail is 19 kilometers long. A beautiful nature walk, where you walk straight into Dwingelderveld National Park from the village of Lhee. A nice variety of moors, forests and fens awaits you here. At the fens you walk past the radio telescope, burial mounds, sheepfold and over a beautiful decking path.
