Landhotel Diever

With a wide variety of woods and drifting sand, the Drents-Friese Wold is always a wonderfully varied walk. This trail runs in the south of the natural park. You have the option to take a turn to one of the small fens. You will also pass a hiding place from the Second World War which is now a memorial site.

From Diever you walk straight into the woods of the Drents-Friese Wold, and that is exactly what you do during this Slow Tour. A beautiful circular walk through the nature of the park, where you will also pass fens, moors and shifting sands. You also visit a monument commemorating the battle of the Second World War that took place here, and a dolmen. You will not come across any restaurants along the way, so go well prepared.

Extensive circular walk through National Park Drents-Friese Wold, a beautiful piece of nature, according to some even the most beautiful piece of nature in the Netherlands. The walking route starts just north of the town of Diever, from where you can walk into the nature of the park in a few minutes. You walk through the woods to the Wapserveld, an extensive heathland with several lakes. You walk around and along a single puddle. After crossing the road you will visit another smaller moorland...

Forest walk just north of Diever. The route starts at the information center of Diever, where brochures, information and walking routes are available for the Drents-Friese Wold. The forests you walk through during this trail are part of the national park. In the woods you visit some burial mounds and an impressive dolmen. Along the way you pass 2 restaurants.

Yellow marked trail from Natuurmonumenten through the Drents-Fries Wold. A varied loop through woods and over the heaths of the Berkenheuvel estate. The route also takes you past a number of historical sights, such as a hiding place, the AC van Daalen monument and a country house.
