Millingerwaard is a nature reserve located in a meander of the Waal. It is part of the Natura 2000 area de Gelderse Poort. Millingerwaard was the first area of the Gelderse Poort to undergo a nature development project. Now it is a beautiful floodplain filled with floodplain forests and swamps.
