This third stage of the Mare a Mare begins with an ascent in the forest before reaching the peaks. The second part of the course on false flat crosses many small streams, before descending to the village of Pianello, made up of several hamlets. A place of transhumance, this village is the crossroads between Castagniccia, Le Boziu and the plain. Perched on the mountain, it is the highest village in the canton. The Pianello stopover gîte will welcome you by reservation.

Second stage of the Mare a Mare north, this hike crosses the Costa Verde from the village of I Penti to the Village of Valle-d'Alesani. This route takes you out of the chestnut groves before climbing the ridges. The path offers a panorama of the Mediterranean Sea and its Islands, the eastern plain and the lush Costa Verde. This beautiful hike from the beautiful village of Cervione in Haute Corse takes you to the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica to the village of Valle-d'Alesani. Along the way you will have a magnificent panorama of the Eastern Plain and the Mediterranean Sea. When you reach the ridge you will join the route of the Mare à mare nord which leads you into the beautiful landscapes of the Alesani. Arriving towards Valle-d'Alesani you will have a splendid view of the San Petrone.
