The trail is located in the Federal Biological Reserve of Tinguá (a Brazilian biological reserve, which extends over an area of 26 thousand hectares). The route ranges from roads, narrow paths, as well as stretches with great incline, both up and down. There are several waterfalls near the trail.

The route is located in the Mosela neighborhood, right in the middle of the city of Petrópolis. The trail is long, with steep and rocky roads, providing beautiful natural scenery. During the way we can see the dense forest and lookouts between the trees. Arriving at the top you can admire the beauty of Pedra do Retiro, which offers a fantastic view of the city.

Morro do Boné has an elevation of 1,561 meters, and is located on the border between the Tinguá Biological Reserve and the Petrópolis Environmental Preservation Area. The path can be covered on foot and by bicycle. From the top you can see Serra do Couto, the old Estrada do Imperador, Serra das Araras, Pedra do Retiro, Serra dos Órgãos, among. other points. Morro do Boné takes its name because it looks like a cap seen from other mountains.

The path follows the Bernardo Coutinho road, with open forest roads and lots of vegetation, taking us to the beautiful Caneco Trail with lush landscapes, bridges and a lot of preservation area.

This trail has a long extension, being carried out on partially paved terrain. The route is carried out from one point to another, starting at high altitude and after constant descent. The trail borders part of highway 040 and a large part of the Piabanha River, passing through forested areas, overlooking lakes and beautiful scenery of nature.
