The Pico do Cavalo trail is located in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. It features easy level and is ideal for hiking. The Federal Biological Reserve of Tinguá extends over an area of 26 thousand hectares, located in Serra do Mar. The trail goes through long terrain and constant climb and areas of Atlantic Forest. The route to Pedra do Quitandinha is half of the way through closed forest and the other half in open space, making the route even more pleasant. The stone is a large mountain that rises close to Lake Quitandinha, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Petrópolis.

During the way we can see the dense forest and lookouts between the trees. Arriving at the top you can admire the beauty of Pedra do Retiro, which offers a fantastic view of the city.
