Preveli Palm Forest (Φοινικόδασος Πρέβελης) This beautiful route starts from the beach of Preveli and goes along the green environment formed at the mouth of the river Megalopotamos towards the sea. There, Lake Preveli is formed and there is a unique palm forest, 1-2 km long in the canyon, on the banks of the river. These are small palm trees of the endemic species Phoenix theophrastii, in the eastern Mediterranean. Wonderful views of the sea and this lush green habitat.

Preveli Beach (Παραλία Πρέβελη) The route starts from the Megali Gefira Bridge, that crosses Megalopotamos river. The course follows the east bank of the river and heads south to Preveli beach. Megali Gefyra Bridge - Preveli Beach (Μεγάλη Γέφυρα - Παραλία Πρέβελη) This beautiful route in southern Crete starts from the Megali Gefyra Bridge and follows the gorge of the Magalopotamos River, which is the southern part of the Kourtaliotiko Gorge, towards the sea.
