Here is a very beautiful hike that crosses the Gorges de L'Orbe to reach the Lac de Joux. The arrival in the regional park is spectacular. Surrounded by forest we arrive between the two lakes after descending from the Dent de Vauillon and we arrive at a place called Le pont. Located to the right of Lac Bernet and at the top of Lac de Joux.

The path starts next to the Orbe River, which has its source in a cave not far away. Then you follow the water a bit and then follow it up a bit to the narrow between the two lakes: Lac Brenet and Lac de Joux. Here you can enjoy the wonderful Vallée de Joux, which is considered the cradle of many luxury watches of world renown.

On hot summer days, the Orbe Gorge invites you to take a refreshing hike along the banks of the Orbe in the Three Lakes Region. First you pass the Saut du Day waterfall, then you continue past dams and hydroelectric power stations and through the small village of Les Clées to Orbe. There are parking facilities at both ends of the gorge and the two villages can also be reached by bus or train.
