This loop starts in Vallorbe in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The path climbs towards the Jura Vaudois natural park. The path then joins a historic site, the fort of Pré-Giroud. This military structure was built between 1937 and 1941 and its objective was to prohibit the passage of the Col de Jougne and to support the defense of the border during the Second World War. The route then joins the Day and we follow the Orbe river to return to Vallorbe.
