Very nice track for a long excursion. The descent takes place in Sonceboz-Sombeval shortly after Biel and in the Chasseralet nature park in the direction of Tavannes, Glovier, to end in Basel city center. You will cross several typical villages, rivers and small lakes.

Coming from the Swiss border, the Rhine forms the border river between France and Germany. The Rhine Cycle Path follows both banks along nature reserves and hydroelectric power stations, picturesque villages, and Strasbourg before reaching the German city of Karlsruhe.

This easy and flat route starts from the train station in Basel Stadt. The path goes in the direction of the Rhine river to enjoy the power of the water. Then it goes over the bridge where the Käppelijoch is located. The Käppelijoch is located on the Middle Bridge in Basel. The chapel stands on the pillar called Bärenfelserjoch. It's in the middle of the bridge. The path then goes along the banks of the Rhine and you take a second bridge to get to the starting point.
