The start of this hiking trail is in the car park at Saint-Michel beach in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. This route takes you to La Govelle beach via the Douaniers trail. It notably passes through Carbonet Bay, Dervin Bay and Manéric Bay.

WARNING : This route takes portions of the coastal path, also known as the Sentier des Douaniers, or GR®34. This path is exclusively pedestrian: bicycles are prohibited.

The port of Pouliguen, which owes its development to the transport of salt, is now a marina where you can admire a large number of boats. You will then follow the road to the tip of Penchâteau and follow the wild coast and its cliffs where a descent into small sandy coves is essential. From the Bay of Scall, the path will take you to the village of Batz-sur-Mer, a charming “small town of character” located between the sea and the salt marshes.
