Nice tour through the Groningen countryside around the town of Bedum. The route leads to the village of Ellerhuizen in the south and Onderdendam in the north. The route runs through farmland with the occasional river, all along quiet cycle paths and country roads.

Cycle route from Zuidwolde, north of Groningen. You drive through the nature reserve 't Roegwold and through the countryside to Oude Pekela. Then you ride to the Dollart, the water that forms the natural border between the Netherlands and Germany. You drive back to the starting point along Appingedam and Bedum. The route is entirely on good cycle paths and is a good route for sports cyclists.

The Beijumerbos is part of the Kardinge nature and recreation area. In Kardinge there are several works of art, this trail starts at an art piece by Gjalt Blaauw. From here you walk along the water located in the forest. In summer the fields are filled with flowers such as cornflowers, poppies, bolderik and buckwheat. You walk with views of the Noordermolen windmill from 1888. There are no restaurants on the route, but you regularly pass benches.
