This hike begins in the charming village of Biriatou, overlooking the Bidasoa, marking the border between France and Spain. The route goes through the Rocher des Perdrix, the Redoubt of Bortuste and the Mont du Calvaire (or Kalbario, among others, offering a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. The Mont du Calvaire is often occupied by the famous Basque wild horses called " pottok" (pronounced "potiok").

Great trip to the Basque country to climb the mythical Basque summit: the Rhune. Clearly this summit is worth it. The route begins with the ascent of the Ibardin de Biriatou pass via magnificent trails in the woods. Very pleasant when it's dry, but be careful, it's still physical. Nice stop just before bardin, it is still possible to extend on sight. From Ibardin, this is where things get complicated. After crossing Ibardin, take the road towards Spain for a few meters, then descend the climb...
