This hike, 6th stage of the GR® 509, is located in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park to the northeast of Saint-Claude and starts from Bois-d'Amont. The route goes through the Lac des Rousses, Les Rousses, La Cure, among others, and ends on the Chemin de Bacon in Prémanon, near the La Grenotte gite. The GR® 509, Grande Randonnée, is also known as the Grande Traversée du Jura. It extends from Mandeure, in the Doubs, to Culoz, in the Ain, over approximately 400 km of varied landscapes.

The start of this hiking trail in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park is located in the car park near the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bois d'Amont in the Jura department. This route draws a loop through the forest which notably passes by the Gaillard chalet.

The route passes, among other things, through the Vaudois Jura Regional Nature Park and Mont Sala culminating at an altitude of 1511 m, before returning to the starting point. Other natural areas are also to be discovered around this route, including La Vy des Gros (1301 m).

This hike is located northeast of Morbier and starts from the Route des Lacs in Bellefontaine. The route goes through Lac de Bellefontaine, the Route des Marais, Roche Champion, Sous le Risoux du Village, La Madone and Chez l'Aimé at an altitude of 1141 m, before returning to the starting point.
