This is a lovely riverside trail. It is clean and well-maintained, with lots of things to see along the way. Accessibility: There are 4 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of West Royal Boulevard at the north end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. Features
Heroes Trail, #8 in the Ridge to Rivers system, provides a nice connection from Boise's North End to Elephant Rock Loop in the Military Reserve, allowing for easier trail travel to multiple routes in the system. The trail gains an easy 200 feet in a little under a mile along grassy hillsides and through a small stand of locust trees. The sunset view of downtown from the intersection at the trailend is excellent.

This trail begins at Camel's Back Reserve and connects to the Kestrel Trail near Red Cliffs Nature Center. It finishes off with beautiful views of downtown Boise atop Camel's Back Reserve. It's an awesome route for a hike, a run, a bike ride, or even a leisurely meander! Make sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection.
