This is the official off-leash route of Staatsbosbeheer through the Mastbos. A lovely forest walk, marked with blue posts, through the northern part of the Breda forests. The route leads past a pool where the dogs can swim. The route also passes restaurant De Boswachter.

Hike through the varied nature reserves south of Breda, through the Mastbos forest and along the rivers Aa and Mark. South of Breda is the Mastbos, a beautiful piece of nature. The Aa flows on the west side, the Mark flows on the east side. The rivers are the lifeblood of the city. Loop all the way around the Mastbos, from north to south and back again. The route runs a lot on straight, easy paths and can be used as a running route or an easy walk. The route continues all the way to the south of the forest, up to the Galderse Heide. Here you can possibly get off the route to visit the impressive drifting dunes. The route also leads over the beautiful boardwalk, over the swamps and between the lakes. Finally, you walk along the Turfven and the bullet catcher.

Wonderful circular walk through the Mastbos, the beloved forest south of Breda. The route starts on the edge of the city, from where you quickly imagine yourself deep in the woods. The route leads to the Visven, the lake which is located in the middle of the woods. You walk around here. You also walk along the waters north of the Kogelvanger.

South of Breda lies a variety of natural landscapes. Forests and meadows with winding rivers alternate, with a castle or an estate here and there. With this route you visit some of those aspects, starting in the northern part of the Mastbos. In the forest you pass a few lakes, including the Visven. The route then leads through the grasslands around the meandering Aa river. Here you also walk along the forest edge of the Trippelenberg.
