The trail starts passing through the Bouleyres forest then the route goes through the village of Gruyères. One takes advantage of a stop at the castle to taste a unique cheese fondue. Then we walk through Moléson-sur-Gruyères and a beautiful descent to Chia. Watch out for stones and roots on this last section at the edge of the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park.

This hike lends itself very well to a varied bike ride, ideally with a mountain bike. The starting point is Bulle at the train station then the path leads through the Forest of Bouleyres, Broc, the Parc Régional Gruyère Pays d'Enhaut just next to the Lac de Montsalvens. Then the road continues to climb beyond Charmey and arrives at the Vounetse summit (1626m). The descent goes through Les Arses.
