The path starts in Cabbiolo next to Lostallo in the canton of Graubünden. A steep stretch of road awaits you to the lake of Val d'Arbola. This place is rather wild and is not very showered. It is a side valley of the Misox and lies at 1168 meters above sea level. The path then continues up to Alp de Montogn.

This is a challenging route with stunning views not to be missed when you arrive at the highest point of the hike, the Cima de Nomnom (2633m). Shortly before arriving at your destination you reach Pass de Burralora (2268m), an excellent stopping point. The trail starts from Alp de Bec Sot and is mostly exposed to the sun.

On this walk you can see the ruins of the Castello Mesocco, which is enthroned on a rocky outcrop. It is one of the largest castle complexes in Switzerland and formed the stately center of the valley from the beginning of the 13th century until 1526. The castle was considered impregnable and was never conquered. Below the castle is the church of Santa Maria del Castello with a well-preserved late Romanesque fresco cycle.

This walk invites the whole family to take a tour of the area in the Val Calanca Park. It starts from Bodio at the parking lot just outside the town and then follows the road along the Calancasca river. After about a kilometer the road reaches Cauco and then the route climbs a bit up to the chapel of Sant'Antonio, which dates back to the 17th century.
