Visitors can find parking at the trailhead of this route, which is located at the Cowboy Trail and Griffin Road West intersection. There are washroom facilities available here as well. You can take the Riverfront Park trailhead which will take you alongside the Bow River, and will have you cross over Big Hill Creek. Your turnaround point is River Ave but you have an opportunity to continue on trail if you want a longer route.

An easy paved route for strollers or you can take the stairs and hike. This trail is well maintained by the Big Hill Creek Conservation Society and is mostly forest with a few open spaces, great for bird watching. Moose also frequent the area so be aware. This multi-use trail follows alongside the Bow River in Cochrane. The trail starts from the River Avenue parking lot just before the bridge but can be started from anywhere along the trail. This trail is entirely paved but has little to no shade so proper sun protection is recommended. Gorgeous open views of the Bow River throughout as well as the wildlife that visits this area. This trail also cross the Big Hill Creek.
