There are no catering facilities on the route, but you will pass a few picnic spots and benches.

Climb soft-sand hills for distant views of the unique area. You also walk past two fens. There are benches along the way to relax and enjoy the views. And the unique watchtower is also worth a visit.

Short but challenging trail across the Aekingerzand, through the Kale Duinen area. You hike straight through the drifting sands to the watchtower. From the tower you can see the stream valley of the Vledder Aa. Then you walk along the Grenspoel. The water is surrounded by beautiful nature. There are a number of benches on the route.
