This trail is a part of the equestrian district of Mercer Meadows County Park. This particular trail is an out and back trail, starting at a junction with the Lawrence Hopewell Trail at the Mercer County Equestrian Center and ending at Main Street in Pennington.

This is an easy hike between Village Park in Lawrence Township and Twin Pines Park, jointly owned by Lawrence and Hopewell Township, via Mercer Meadows County Park. Village Park has athletic fields and playground facilities. Twin Pines Park mainly just has athletic fields. Mercer Meadows is a nature preserve consisting of a restored grassland on the site of the former AT&T oversees transmission facility (a historic site).
