The trail begins in Fischingen on this stage of the Thurgau circular hiking trail. First you follow on the right side of the Murg. Along the route you will pass St. Martin's Chapel, which was built in the 11th to 12th centuries. Following the river, past the edge of Wiezikon and straight through Sirnach until you reach Münchwilen.

This area is a really great hiking area and leads up to the ridge at 996m as the highest elevation in Thurgau. Along the tour you always get great insights into the area and pass the deep gaping gorge of the Murg with its rugged rock faces. It then goes past the simple forest chapel with a wide view over Lake Constance. There is a monastery in the village of Fischingen. Visiting the village is worthwhile.

Fischingen is located on the south side of the end of the Murg valley. You can discover the pilgrimage chapel in Fischigen. The path goes to Rapperswil, where you get a great view of Lake Zurich. The trail starts in Au at a public car park. Through small streams one arrives at the Silberbüel pass at 1026 m and then continues on small dirt and forest paths through the landscape. A few kilometers later it descends to Mühlrüti and then onto the Grat hill at 996 m. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few days of bad weather.
