The trail starts in Fidaz and one is able to get there via the historic, unique Pinut Via Ferrata. The Via Ferrata dates back to 1739, but was completely renovated in 2007. It climbs through the Flimserstein area, coming through caves via ladders and stairs through the landscape. The climb does not contain any technical difficulties, but requires a head for heights in certain places. The Pinut via ferrata is therefore also ideal for via ferrata beginners.

The crystal-clear Crestasee (Lag la Cresta) lies between Flims and Trin in the canton of Graubünden at 844 m above sea level. Cresta means "ridge of terrain" so Lake Cresta is called "lake on the ridge of terrain". The lake can only be reached on foot or by bike and is surrounded by forest on three sides. It is fed by underground springs and the water level has changed little over the years.
