The Estero River Scrub has four trails that visitors can hike through different types of environments. This trail is a combination of the four. Gopher tortoises, warblers, wrens, and woodpeckers are commonly seen. Visitors hiking to the river can stop to rest at one of the benches located along the bank. Walk along the scenic coastline starting from Lynn Hall Park to Bowditch Point Park. This is a classic Florida beach walk, with sandy dunes and sea shells. At the northernmost point, visitors can observe fishing boats traveling across the Matanzas Pass. There are restrooms available at both ends of the route.

Located in north Lee County, Yellow Fever Creek preserve is mostly pine flatwoods and features views of the Yellow Fever Creek. There is an unmarked pedestrian entrance on Del Prado Boulevard, which connects to the trails in this park. The Yellow Fever Creek Preserve Trail can be done as an out and back or as a loop. The trail is sandy in some areas which can make hiking a bit more challenging.
