This is a short loop that travels through a variety of environments. There is both shade and sun along the route and a mix of sand and boardwalk trails. The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. For those wishing to extend their hike, check out the East River Loop to add distance.

This route includes all of the trails available at Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve. Start by taking the Live Oak Trail which then connects to the East River Loop Trail. The majority of the route is along this trail. There are great viewpoints of the river along the way and many opportunities to observe local wildlife. Finish the loop by walking the SweetBay and Fetterbush Trail.
