Seahorse Beach Bungalows

This is a great area to explore for those who want to see manatees in the area. While it is a short route, there are plenty of sights to see and wildlife in the area to observe. The boardwalk is nice and shaded which makes traveling here in the summer pleasant. There is also public dock access located at this trailhead for kayaks and canoes.

This preserve features 94-acres of pristine woodlands as well as a large lake in the middle that features catch and release fishing. There is also a kayak and canoe launch site available. The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months. The trail can often be overgrown or washed out closer to the lookout area. Wildlife is abundant in this area and it is important to respect their habitat.

This route consists of a combination of trails. Starting on the Blue Heron Trail, the route then connects to the Otter Trail on the east portion of the area. From here, the trail takes an old dirt road to loop back to the start of the route. Most of the path is exposed to the sun with little shade. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area to observe.
