This beautiful running or walking outing is located in Geneva in the Swiss canton of Geneva. The departure is from the Parc de Bourgogne and take the magnificent Pont de la Jonction. This viaduct is the eighth most upstream bridge in the Rhône after leaving Lake Geneva. Then we take the wooden footbridge of the frame to reach the starting point.

This beautiful walk begins at the edge of the magnificent Lake Geneva and its famous water jet. It is a fountain that can reach 140 meters high and it is one of the emblematic monuments of the city of Geneva in the canton of the same name. Then the route joins the city and ends at the lookout point of the observatory and its park.

This extended walk starts at Geneva train station and leads quickly out of the city center to the junction and the great bridge of the two rivers Rhône and L'Arve with splendid views of the two rivers. The path then follows the banks of the Rhône and in Loex it takes a turn towards Onex and then along fields and meadows it reaches Lully. At the finishing point one is already very close to the French border.

The trail leaves from the main train station then winds slowly down to the river to visit the meeting bridge between the two rivers, Rhône and Arve. From this junction and the magnificent bridge, the path then continues through the forest to the Butin bridge and the Lignon footbridge. You get a great insight into this exciting culture and natural landscape.

The bustling metropolis of Geneva also has wonderful natural places where visitors can relax and find some calm and peace. In the urban environment of the city, this pretty lake promenade invites hikers to stroll and discover the famous Jet d'eau, symbol of the city: a beautiful fountain on Lake Geneva overhanging a height of about 140 meters.
