John's Landing Trail meanders through pine and oak forests, leading to two primitive campsites, John's Landing and Orange Point, both of which offer shaded views of Little Lake George. This trail is included within the Florida Forest Service's Trailwalker Program. There are many opportunities to observe wildlife along the way.

This is an easy and flat trail that is well-maintained and travels through a forested area. There are no facilities at the trailhead, but there is a picnic area about halfway through the loop with a covered picnic area and a bathroom. Mud Springs is the spring here with a small swimming and picnic area near the spot it runs into the river.

The trailhead to this area is conveniently located off the main road at the Salt Springs Campground. This trail is easy, entirely shaded, but may be very overgrown in the summer months. There is a variety of beautiful plant species along the way including a mix of pine, oak, maple, magnolias, and palmetto.

This adventurous trail can often become overgrown and may be difficult to find in the summer months. This is a short hike out to the boardwalks where visitors may view wildlife and is a great area for coastal birdwatching. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months.

This is a popular out and back section of the Florida Trail that travels through the scenic Juniper Wilderness Area. It features a very popular camping spot at Hidden Pond about halfway through the hike. The trail is well-marked and many sections of this route are exposed- bringing sun protection is advised.
