Most visitors park along Peru Creek Road and hike up the dirt road 2 miles to the Chihuahua Lake Trail. If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can drive the dirt road to the upper trailhead. High clearance vehicle recommended. 2 miles up the dirt road you will see a "No motor vehicles past this point" sign. The 4WD road will continue to the right (east). You should take a left to continue to Chihuahua Lake.

This route is just barely inside the boundary of Arapaho National Forest; in fact, the trail itself follows the ridge line which serves as the boundary line of the national forest itself! This is a tougher hike than the mileage may seem to suggest, so make sure you're prepared for a tough, high-altitude, exposed trail.

West Ridge Trail is a fun hike that takes hikers out and back along a truly picturesque ridge line trail which offers some incredible, breathtaking views throughout the duration of the hike. The hike itself starts at Loveland Pass, which stands at 11,959 feet above sea level, so be ready for a high-altitude trek!

This is a fun hike which is extremely popular in the Arapaho National Forest area. The route as mapped here takes hikers up to the top of Mount Sniktau, which stands at 13,219 feet above sea level. A common addition to this hike is to include a second summit nearby by climbing up to the top of Mount Cupid, another over-13,000 foot peak.

This trail is a really fun hike which starts out at the trailhead at Loveland Pass, which stands at 11,959 feet above sea level. You'll start out by taking Mount Sniktau Trail up to Grizzly Peak Trail, then heading to the right towards Cupid Peak, at which point you'll be at about 13,117 feet above sea level.
