Vier Groninger Dorpen ("Foru Groningen Villages") is walk 77 of the Groene Wissel walking routes. Starting in Loppersum, you walk across the Groningen landscape through the villages of Eenum, Zeerijp and Westeremden. All villages have beautiful churches with towers that are usually open to climb and you pass a historic windmill. In Westeremden you will pass museum De Weem, an exhibition space in a beautiful monumental building.

A tour around and through the village of Leermens. Leermens is an ancient wierde village. The first settlement here probably arose around the beginning of the Common Era. The first time the village is mentioned in documents is already in the 10th century. Even though parts were excavated around 1910, you can still see the steep edges of the mound. Lovely countryside walk from Stedum. The route leads through vast meadows where cows graze peacefully, along the ditches. You can walk for considerable parts on a beautiful path along the canal. You also walk on some quiet farm roads. Along the way you pass the village of Leems and a few other hamlets, with a number of beautiful monumental farms.

This is route 220 of the Groene Wissel walking routes. You start at the station in Stedum through the beautiful authentic center of the town. You walk past the imposing Gothic church where you can admire beautiful 15th century frescoes. After the forest you will pass many canals and ditches that go through the Groningen landscapes. Most of the route is on quiet asphalt roads.

Round trip between Oosterwijtwerd and Eenum. The route runs along the waters of the Eenumermaar and the Leermenstermaar. The route is on tarmac paths and is ideal for a run.
