Unofficial mountain bike route from Maasbracht to the Leudal. Along the way you will come across many beautiful places. You cross the Meuse several times and drive on the banks of the river. You will come across windmills and estates, drive through the dense forests of the Exatenbos and visit characteristic villages.

RivierPark Maasvallei is a beautiful long-distance walk entirely devoted to the Meuse and its river valleys. The route is 137 kilometers long and well signposted in both directions. This stage is a stage with a lot of water. You walk along numerous lakes, such as the Molenplas and the Dilkensplas. You visit the ports of Stevensweert and the Maasterp. Finally, you walk between the waters of the Maas and the Geleenbeek rivers.

The Vlootbeek is a small river that runs through Montfort and the nearby nature reserve Het Sweeltje. After leaving Montfort, you immediately walk over the banks of the river, deeper into the woods of Het Sweeltje. The route leads to the hamlet of Roskam, where you visit a chapel. At the northern edge of Het Sweeltje you walk back to Montfort.

The Pieterpad segment between Montfort and Sittard is a farmland walk with some small villages, groves, rivers, and historical sights. Het Sweeltje is a pine forest located near Montfort. The red marked trail takes you around the forest and along the Vlootbeek. The stream forms the natural boundary of the forest. Many frogs, birds and other animals live in this part. In summer you can see many special butterflies here. Halfway through the route you will pass a picnic area.
