This fantastic hike leads to the magnificent summit of Mont Tendre at an altitude of 1679 meters. It is the highest point in the Swiss Jura and one of the highest in the entire Jura. The route starts in Montricher, a beautiful town in the Morges district at an altitude of 752 meters, and leads through idyllic forests and meadows to the summit.

Departure from the Place des Fêtes de Montricher (departure / arrival also possible from the Châtel car park just after the Col du Mollendruz towards Le Pont). Go up to Châtel, then aim for the Col du Marchaîruz. Come and discover the beautiful cave at Chenuz which is located about three hundred meters from the Risel road above Montricher in the Swiss canton of Vaud. A beautiful trail will take you to the artificial entrance of the cave. From there a ladder allows you to reach the main hall. From the bottom of the chasm, you can safely visit the entire cave without any problem. Be careful, however, if you are a little claustrophobic, the lower part is not really for you; the passage is very tight.

The trail starts in Montricher and winds its way through the forest on a circular path. Walk along the Combe de la Verrière cliff and then climb to the small stretch of water in the deltalab ecolage area. Then continue to the Alpage du Mont Tendre refuge and then descend again. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few days of bad weather.
