This segment of the Trans Swiss Trail begins at the shore of Lake Neuchâtel. It is a very beautiful itinerary which then joins the lake and the medieval city of Murten via the summit of Mont-Vully. The trail is marked with number two on the yellow hiking signs where it is possible to relax. The route can also be overcome with children.

This fantastic hike is located directly on Lake Neuchâtel in the canton of Neuchâtel. The path begins in Neuchâtel and first leads through the city to the Abbey of Fontaine-André, which was founded in the 12th century. Then it goes in a wide arc through the beautiful forest, past the Parc de Pierre-à-Bot and on the Route de Chaumont to the Neuchâtel observatory. Discover the city of Neuchâtel, capital of the canton of the same name where the departure is located. From its beautiful Lake Neuchâtel the course climbs to the top of the plumed head which is at an altitude of 758 meters. The path follows the heights to reach Cadolles which is a pretty campsite before descending to the starting point at the lake.

The path invites you to a hike with wonderful views of Lake Neuburgensee. It starts at the train station and then the path leads a short distance along the railway tracks in the direction of the forest line. Before the cable car up to Chaumont, a path then leads over forest paths and the small village of Chaumont du Signal at 1088m to Grand Chaumont at 1132m. Then it goes over Cornaux down to the starting point.
