This circular route is suitable for cyclists and runners. The starting point is Neuchâtel-Monruz. From there it goes via Saint-Blaise and Marin-Epagnier to the Zihl Bridge. There you cross the Zihl Canal and continue via Gals and Erlach. Cross the Erlach Bridge and explore the 8 km long St. Petersinsel in beautiful Lake Biel.

The Verticale d'Hauterive is a course but also a short one that takes place every year in November. The route starts at the edge of the lake from the port of Hauterive, located 430 meters above sea level and climbs to Chaumont at 1089 meters above sea level. The course is demanding with an extremely steep section of 100m of vertical drop over 350 meters of course. Very beautiful course between the lake and the mountain. Very nice mountain bike ride that starts on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel to reach the Chasseral regional park and its Chasseral summit which is located at an altitude of 1606 meters. It is the highest point of the Bernese Jura and it is formerly called Gestler in German. The return is via the other side near Cernier.
