Mount Williams another peak in the Taconic Range just north of the well-known and popular Mount Greylock. Hikers will begin from Pattison Road and follow the Appalachian Trail to the summit. The AT is a very well trafficked trail and marked with white blazes. The summit is wooded but is marked with a sign.

This stretch of the Appalachian Trail can be accessed from Pattison Road. At the top of the first climb there is a nice view to stop at before heading up towards Mount Williams. Follow the ridge line uphill leading to the summit of Mount Greylock. There are some great markers in place pointing out notable landmarks you can see from the summit.

This hike is a steep climb on the Appalachian Trail to a rock ledge overlooking Williamstown, MA. You will begin from Pattison Road and begin following the Appalachian Trail south. The overlook is located at the junction of the Mount Prospect Trail and the AT. The AT is marked with white blazes and is easy to follow.

This is a fantastic way to experience the best of Mt. Greylock State Park. It makes for either a really long, strenuous day hike, or a moderate overnighter (The main campground requires reservations May through October). The loop starts at the Pattison Rd crossing of the Appalachian Trail, ascends the northern spine of Mount Prospect 1,500 feet in just under 2 miles, and continues to Mt. Williams, Mt.
