Zar Queretaro

This route is excellent for road cyclists, although it can also be done on foot. It is located north of the city of Querétaro and will take you through busy streets, so you have to proceed with caution. It is circular in shape and covers approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass through suburban sections, other green ones with vegetation, and still others with a lot of industry. Make sure you stay well hydrated and protected from the sun.

This fun route starts on the side of the Querétaro highway. It will take you up Cerro Prieto. This route is ideal for traveling on a mountain bike or on foot. From the top, you will have a spectacular view of Querétaro and the beautiful mountains in the distance. It does not have shade, and it is advisable to use sunscreen and stay well hydrated. Halfway through your journey, you will find a residence; everything continuing from here is private property, and you must ask permission to proceed.

This circular route explores the low hills east of Highway 57 north of the city of Querétaro. A part of your walk will be on a cobblestone path and another on dirt paths, but it lacks shade, so you must prepare yourself with sun protection and a hat. You will have beautiful views of some rock formations and the town of Juriquilla, which lies to the west. Don't forget to bring plenty of water.

This route explores a small canyon north of the suburbs of Querétaro. You will find a small lagoon with camping places on its shores. You climb the side of the canyon to reach a cliff called the Peña Colorada. The route is short, and the hill is low, but parts of the climb are steep, therefore, it is marked as moderate. You will have beautiful views and opportunities to observe the flora and fauna of the region.

This route is made for mountain biking enthusiasts. You start your great trip in the parking lot for the Parque Deportivo de Jurquilla, and you pass by the Golf Club and its lagoon. You leave the city and go around country roads and cute little towns. In the vicinity of Charape la Joya, you turn west to climb a bit on the slopes of Cerro del Aqua. You descend from the hill to the beautiful town of Jalpilla, where you can rest on the shores of Lake Jalpa before returning to your starting point.
