In the middle of the city and easily accessible (and free), the park offers paved paths, hills, ponds, and lots of flowers. It's often a bit busy, but it is typically meticulously maintained with beautiful photo opportunities everywhere. You can see the mountains from the lookout by the Bloedel Conservatory. There is also an off leash dog park.

The trail itself is gravel Trail and is very easy, straight and wide, which is great for people of all ages/skill levels and bringing the family for a picnic (there are benches). Consider bringing sun protectant on hot days as there is little to no shade.
