This is a beautiful scenic trail that travels through a shaded pine forest for most of the way. There are rolling hills of sand that make the trail slightly more challenging. There are not many views along the trail, however, there are many opportunities to view wildlife and wildflowers. This is one of the least trafficked areas in the park.

Using the Florida Trail and the Blue Loop Trail, hikers can explore a picturesque corner of Withlacoochee State Forest in Ridge Manor along a beautiful loop. The trail continues north at the split for those who wish to venture further through the forest. There are many scenic viewpoints along the river to stop and admire.

This is a great hike for those who like to be by the river. Part of the trail travels through sugar sand which can be grueling in the summer. There is an abundance of wildlife to observe along the way. This trail starts with a peaceful planted forest followed by an open prairie. The prairie eventually leads into a slightly shaded canopy forest. Users have reported that you can follow the yellow trail at the very beginning but it turns to orange pretty quick and then users can go much further than 3.2 miles.
