This hike is rather short with less than 5km in the canton of Vaud. The start is in Sainte-Croix, a town in the Jura-Vaudois which is at an altitude of 1,086 meters. The route climbs to the summit of Le Crochet which is located at an altitude of 1'484 meters. The top has a very nice cross and you have a clear view of the whole region. In winter you can even ski there.

This is a pleasant hike for the entire family which leads to the Covatannaz Gorges, located between Sainte-Croix and Vuiteboeuf. The trail starts in Sainte-Croix, a town known for its musical boxes and jukeboxes. Through pastures and a dense forest, most of the route borders the Arnon river with its waterfalls and cliffs.
