Palihouse Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara: Certified Dog-Friendly Rank & Review
Palihouse Santa Barbara received an acceptable C Roch Rank. While the hotel offers a decent experience for dog owners, there are some limitations to consider. Most rooms are dog-friendly, which is a plus, but dogs are not allowed in the bar or restaurant, restricting where you can enjoy your meals with your furry friend. The terrace and lounge are open to dogs, providing some space to relax together.
The $50 per stay fee is reasonable, especially since there’s no limit on the number of dogs per room, making it a good option for those traveling with multiple canine companions. However, the lack of amenities like dog beds or bowls means you’ll need to pack your own essentials. On the bright side, the hotel provides guidance on dog walk routes, which is a helpful touch for exploring the area.
Nearby public green spaces offer convenient walking options, but the absence of an on-site garden or dedicated dog space is a downside. The hotel doesn’t allow dogs to stay alone in the room, which can be a hassle if you plan to explore without them. Overall, while Palihouse Santa Barbara covers the basics, it doesn’t go above and beyond in its dog-friendly offerings.
This hotel has been evaluated, ranked, and reviewed using the Roch Standard, the world's first dog friendly standard for the hotel industry. We gathered data directly from the hotel, and benchmarked it against thousands of other hotels in order to fairly derive its rank.

The east fork of this trail is mostly shady with a few creek crossings and beautiful views toward the top. This loop has some steep sections throughout the hike with a few short scrambles, but as you get to the top the trail flattens out. There are a variety of small waterfalls along the trail, and they are best viewed after a heavy rain or during the winter months.
