This trail is a 3.3 mile out and back trail. It is an easy trail used year round and is used for hiking. The trailhead is up by the old airport and heads south around the bluff. It is a mile to the old quarry, but the trail continues another .6 mile past if you choose to continue. There are nice views as you walk out onto the point.

Perfect if you’re staying at any number of hotels by the convention center. Bearclaw-Poppy is a single-track that can be ridden in either direction, but the trail is at its best when starting from the Gap Trailhead. This puts the rider in a downhill mode, taking full advantage of the rolling terrain. The trail can be ridden as an out and back or use the city streets to make a loop. Owen's Loop really isn't a loop until you get to the end and the trail makes a very small loop around and back to the trail you came in on. Owens Loop Trail roughly follows the urban edge of St. Georges northwestern downtown residential area from on top of red sandstone bluffs.
