Tour via bicycle paths starting from the port of Terherne. The village is located in the middle of the Sneekermeer area. The route leads over the dikes of this unique water-rich village, along the many harbours. From the dikes you can enjoy beautiful views over the waters of the Snitser Mar, the Vaarweg and the Terhernster Puollen. The route is a nice evening walk or running route.

The orange marked trail of Terherne takes you around Terherne and to Goingarijp. A beautiful and original wetland area, where you pass viewpoints and encounter many birds. The villages are located on the Sneekermeer area, so you walk long stretches over the dikes along the banks of these waters. The route also takes you through the surrounding polders, along various rivers. Here you will also pass historic sights such as a pumping station, a mound church and the ports.

The lakes of the Sneekermeer area are all shallow (maximum 2 meters) and surrounded by beautiful nature. The lakes are ideal for many water sports, both for beginners and advanced. This loop runs over the western part of the Sneekermeer, from De Potten. Here you sail along the starting island, with a restaurant and many ports, and the southern island thereof. This island is uninhabited and consists of extensive grasslands with a walking path all around.
