Walk on the dike along the salt marshes, on a paved road and through the grass. You walk between cows and sheep and if you are lucky you can even see seals at the bottom of the dike on the Dollard side. You walk back on the country roads in the polder. On the dike you will occasionally pass a fence that you have to climb over. A walking route with beautiful views over the surrounding waters.

Explore Groningen's harbor town Delfzijl, starting on the seawall along the Wadden Sea. Here you pass monuments and remnants of the old fortified moats. You walk to Voolhok, a small nature reserve on the northern edge of the city. Then you head inland, towards Uitwierde. The wierdedorp has no more than 70 inhabitants.
