Less than a kilometre long, this small loop trail starts from the parking lot right off the side of the highway. It can get pretty busy here as the trail is suited for all skill levels. The trail showcases a few ancient giant cedar trees before joining the Pacific Rim Trail heading south toward the ocean offering some great views.

About a kilometre each way can be shaved off by driving up Mercantile Creek Road to the yellow gate, but the road is fairly rough. The trail to Mount Ozzard is a service road up to the top on a consistent, moderately steep grade. There is a "new road" option that is steeper and quicker if you're up to the challenge!
