Hotel Parkzicht

This is trail 255 of the Groene Wissels and leads through the varied nature reserve Tussen de Venen in the Kloosterveen. The hike takes you through a nature development area with pools, lakes and drifting dune landscape. On the way there the route goes on country and grass roads through meadows, on the way back through some forests.

A tour from Veendam through the Borgerswold nature reserve. Here you walk past the petting zoo and some waters. The route then continues along the canal to the village of Borgercompagnie. Here you walk right through the peat-colonial ribbon village. Then you follow a path through the farm fields. The last part runs through the golf course and through Veendam back to the starting point.

Veendam's official mountain bike route goes through the beautiful Borgerswold nature reserve. The park is located in the Groningse Veenkoloniën, which has been transformed into a popular recreation area. The route has many bends and many long stretches. Borgerswold is a recreation area next to Veendam. With this trail you walk through the northern part of the area, around the lake. You also trek through the quieter areas along the rivers. The route leads to the petting zoo. At the end of the route you will pass the Borgerswoldhoeve, where you can enjoy coffee, tea and cake.

Loop around the entire Borgerswold, the nature and recreation area of Veendam. The first parts were created in the 60s and 70s. The park has now developed into a place with wonderful nature around the waters and countless activities for young and old. With this route you walk around the many waters and along the petting zoo, the farm and to the edge of the Langebos sailing lake.
