This is a nice short little trail through the woods to the Bird Island Lookout, making for a great mix of both mountain and beach terrain. Make sure to take a left for a detour down to Gibson Beach, which is a bit hidden and not crowded! The entire route has amazing views, a lots of wildlife including a variety of bird species, deer and otters.
