This stretch of the Long Trail is mostly wooded but has a nice viewpoint of Chittenden Reservoir. Shelters along the way include David Logan and Sunrise Shelter. These are maintained by the Green Mountain Club and have a picnic table, privy and a water source nearby to folks. This is considered one of the easier stretches of the Long Trail.

The terrain along this route is considered easy, moderate, and hard for mountain bikers. The Betty Trail is a directional trail, so be sure to travel counterclockwise along this section of trail. These trails are popular with mountain bikers spring through fall but are open to hikers and trail runners as well.

This loop has some fun twists and turns to challenge mountain bikers along the way. The trail is mostly wooded and leads to Kent Pond at one point. Some sections along the Mind Eraser Trail are not well marked, so downloading the map ahead of time is recommended. This is especially helpful during the winter months if there is fresh snow and the path is covered.
