If you're looking for a nice challenging trail at Beaver Creek Resort, this trail is for you. This route as mapped here is an out and back trail that goes almost straight up, a ton of elevation gain. If you'd like a shorter hike without the hike down, take the trail up and use the gondola down for free.
Activities
Features
This is a lovely, uphill hike with some heavy elevation gain over a moderate length trail. Parts of the trail are forested, offering hikers some shade and chances to see wildlife, but the higher up you go in elevation, the sparser tree cover becomes, so be prepared with a hat and sunscreen if you burn easily. From the lookout point at Lionshead Rock, hikers can enjoy some great views, then either turn back to the trailhead or continue on down the the trail.

Lost Lake is a truly a beautiful little lake, offering hikers some breathtaking, picturesque views. In the right weather conditions with calm air and clear skies, the lake's water becomes glassy enough to see the surrounding mountain ranges reflected on the surface of the lake. The trail to get there is beautiful on its own, as well, meandering through a relatively flat stretch of woodland.
Activities
Features
If you do this hike while the gondola is running, you can choose to skip either the uphill or downhill portions of the hike by taking the gondola. However, the hike is an enjoyable out and back as well. Hikers can enjoy some incredible views on this trail, whether they choose to hike in one or both directions.
