This is a great trail and well-maintained. There are several intersections where it is helpful to have your GPS and the map downloaded. The Wolf Mountain section is mostly along an unshaded gravel road, while the Juniper section travels through a forested area. The trail is somewhat rocky, and relatively flat throughout the entire route.

This route is well-maintained and features several creek crossings along the way. There are spur trails leading to other sections of the park for those who wish to explore more of the area. The beginning and end of the route are mostly exposed to the sun, while the middle section is mostly shaded. Wildlife can be spotted in many areas along this scenic trail.
Activities
Features
Access to this trailhead is located via the Wolf Mountain Trailhead. The Wolf Mountain portion is a gravel double track, while the Jones Spring portion is mainly along a single-track trail. There are beautiful river views from the east side of Wolf Mountain. The Jones Spring trail will take you back down into a creek bottom with a lot of shade.
Activities
Features
Access to this trail is located at the Wolf Mountain Trailhead. The Wolf Mountain Loop Trail travels an out and back trail to a short loop around Wolf Mountain. From the loop, you will find great views of the river and Hill Country. This trail crosses 3 creeks, which are dry most of the year. There is a pit toilet about 2 miles from the trailhead. Nearly the entire trail is a wide non-paved road and shade is very limited. This trail also connects to the Jones Spring Trail.
Activities
Features
The route along Wolf Mountain features a wide gravel trail but once you branch off into Juniper Ridge, it becomes a single-track trail through the woods. The route is not very well-marked and downloading the route beforehand to navigate is suggested. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers.
